Sunflower carrier oil, better known as Sunflower seed oil or Sunflower oil, is cold pressed from the seeds of the Sunflower. Sunflower carrier oil has high amounts of Vitamins A, B, D and E, minerals, and has beneficial amounts of lecithin and unsaturated fatty acids.
Sunflower oil has pleasant, mild scent that makes it a good base for essential oils, and it’s also excellent for making infused oils and for facial and body massage and moisturization. Sunflower oil is a very light gentle oil that absorbs easily and is so mild it is often found in formulas for infants.

Moisturizing: The linoleic acid content in Sunflower oil leaves a protective emollient layer that prevents the skin from loosing moisture while defending the outer layer of the skin against damage and facilitating its regeneration, thus resulting in a rejuvenated appearance. Sunflower oil is also gentle enough to be used on the face, around eyes and in baby skincare products.
Acne Prevention: Sunflower oil is a non-comedogenic carrier oil which is highly absorbent, and does not clog pores. It’s non-irritating for most people, and can be used on all types of skin, including dry, normal, oily, and acne-prone. It also helps in eliminating bacteria that encourages the growth of acne, reduces the appearance of enlarged pores.
Anti-Aging: Sunflower oil contains Vitamin E which is an antioxidant that can help protect skin from free radicals and from adverse effects of the sun, such as premature aging and wrinkles. It also prevents blemishing and offers protection against the damaging effects of overexposure to the sun, one such effect being hyperpigmentation.
