More to Avocado than toast

If you’ve been around, you are probably familiar with the sensation that is AVO-toast but did you know that besides being delicious and nutritious, Avocado is an awesome haircare and skincare ingredient.

Avocado is a carrier oil – it serves as a base oil for hair and skin care oil blends. It is rich in vitamins A, D as well as other essential fatty acids which helps improve skin elasticity and increase collagen. It is especially good for mature skin and dry skin because of it’s ability to be absorbed deeply into the skin thereby transferring all the nutrients and vitamins where needed.

Avocado is packed with minerals like iron, copper, magnesium and folic acid which are known to promote healthy hair growth, prevent split ends and frizzy hair. Additionally, it’s anti-inflammatory property makes it great for addressing skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema as well as scars, age spots, and scalp care.

Due to it’s  slow absorption rate and thick and oily consistency, it is typically diluted at a lower ratio in product blends.
